ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Brittany, founder, owner, artist, kiln watcher, glaze gambler, and full-time enabler of my own pottery habit here at Feral Pigeon Ceramics.

I got into pottery thinking I needed a new relaxing hobby after working years as a 911 dispatcher. Since then, I’ve willingly spent countless hours cover in clay, arguing with lumps of mud, and getting way to emotionally attached to mugs. (I keep telling myself I can’t keep them all, but they are always so cute)

My pottery style can best be described as "carefully handcrafted with a healthy acceptance that chaos is part of the process." Sometimes the glaze does exactly what I planned. Sometimes it achieves its own dreams. We celebrate both outcomes here.

The name Feral Pigeon Ceramics felt appropriate because pigeons are resilient, underestimated, a little scruffy, and somehow thriving despite all odds. Frankly, I found that relatable.

When I'm not making pottery, I'm probably thinking about pottery. Or buying pottery tools. Or watching pottery videos while pretending I'm not thinking about pottery.

Every piece is handmade, completely unique, and occasionally survives my attempts to "just tweak one little thing."

Thank you for supporting my small business and helping transform my completely reasonable amount of clay into slightly feral treasures for your home.

Thanks for supporting my pottery addiction—I mean, small business. ❤️🐦🏺

Where Ideas Take Shape

"Will this mug solve all your problems? No. Will it make your morning coffee feel dramatically more sophisticated? Also no. But it will be a really nice mug."
